The ASA Programme is non-profit and politically independent. It is mainly financed by grants from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). In addition, it receives funding from the majority of the federal states in Germany.
In addition, the ASA Programme is embedded in European and international networks. It is in contact with universities, governmental and non-governmental organisations and commercial enterprises worldwide.
The global format is supported by the partner institutions from Germany. They pay part of the costs of the participants from countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America or South-East Europe.
ASApreneurs also gets co-financed by the partner institutions from Germany. The businesses or business-related organisations pay an internship fee to the participants.
